Meghna Naidu enacts the role of a s*x worker in a film that aims to expose some harsh realities of rural India. The movie, titled Rivaaz , is made by Ashok Nanda. The film’s story is based on true facts about certain Indian villages where flesh trade is the livelihood of people. Women in such villages are pushed into prostitution while men become their pimps.In ‘Rivaaz’, Meghna plays a girl named Chanda in one such village. Although her mother and father prompt her to become a prostitute, Chanda is against this tradition. And when she finally does succumb, she is unable to get customers and is beaten by her brother.
